You deserve to have access to the tools you need to help your child succeed in the most routine life skills: eating, communicating and breathing.
Lauren's philosophy Is holistic: determine the root cause in order to address a symptom. Lauren serves children from birth to 12+, providing one-on-one therapy in your home environment.
Her priorities are to EDUCATE you on all things oral health, feeding and communication, EMPOWER you with confidence and knowledge and INSPIRE you to take the next steps towards helping your child and family unit THRIVE.
Services Offered
Evaluation of feeding & swallowing, orofacial myofunctional disorders and speech sound disorders.
Feeding and swallowing therapy, orofacial myofunctional therapy, pre and post frenectomy neuromuscular re-education, speech and language therapy.
A 30- day program tailored to eliminate your child's sucking habit. Often an evaluation is needed before deciding if this is the right plan for your child.
Consultations on a schedule determined by YOU to make sure your child is meeting their developmental needs for feeding, communication and oral health.
In-Home
Lauren travels to your home to keep therapy services convenient for caregivers and in your child's natural environment.

School or Daycare
Lauren is accustomed to providing therapy in the school or daycare, which also helps facilitate secondary caregiver carryover. Permission is required by the facility first.

Teletherapy offers the same high-quality care from the convenience of your home. Online therapy is an evidence-based and an effective solution available to clients located in the States of NY and NJ.

Speech Language Pathologist, Feeding Specialist, Airway Advocate
Lauren has been a pediatric feeding, speech and language therapist since 2009. Lauren Is an Airway Oriented Provider: A clinician whose clinical procedures (assessment, treatment and referrals), are guided by the understanding that airway health and breathing habits impact development and are linked to physical and emotional well-being throughout the life-span. She is committed to life-long learning and advocacy. Her goal is to offer evidenced-based practice methods and individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of every family dynamic, while empowering the caregiver to be their child’s best advocate.

Lauren is committed to life-long learning and advocacy. Ongoing participation in advanced training programs through various organizations that promote airway health, feeding and myofunctional therapy is essential and a part of her commitment.

How do I get started with Thrive SPOT?

Contact
Contact Lauren to discuss your concerns. If warranted an evaluation will be scheduled.

Intake
Lauren Is paperless therefore an Intake form will be sent electronically to your email.

Plan
Following the evaluation, results will be discussed and a treatment plan will be generated together with the family.

Referrals
Following the evaluation, any necessary referrals will be made.
Insurance & Billing
Lauren is “Out-Of-Network” with all insurance companies. This means that payment is accepted at the time of service.

Prior to meeting, Lauren provides step-by-step instructions to help you contact your insurance company to understand your reimbursement options. Private payments could be applied to your out-of-network deductible and can be paid using your HSA or FSA. A superbill is provided to submit to your insurance company and apply for reimbursement.
