Speech Language Pathologist, Feeding Specialist
 

Lauren is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist since 2009 when she completed her Master of Science at Ithaca College.  She has experience with treating clients from infancy through adulthood, however has found her passion lies in pediatrics, with whom she has worked for the last 10 years.  Specialty experience includes work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Jersey City, NJ for 6 years as well as working with children with medically complex needs at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, NY for 3 years.  Additional experience includes working with tracheostomy and ventilator- dependent children using the Passy Muir Speaking Valve to promote communication and swallowing. 

Lauren moved to Manlius, NY in the fall of 2020. Upon doing research within the community, consistent feedback included a lack of availability of experienced feeding therapists for in home therapy. Because of this, Thrive SPOT was created.

Lauren is committed to life-long learning and advocacy.  Her goal is to offer the best evidenced-based practice methods and individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of every individual and family dynamic, while empowering the caregiver to be their child’s best advocate. 

Lauren resides in Manlius, NY with her husband, three boys and Newfie mix, Frankie. In her free time she enjoys running, exploring all the great outdoor spots CNY has to offer and is on a mission to find the best pizza the Syracuse area has to offer!
